Dentures
After having a tooth extracted for any reason, it’s important to consider how you’ll replace it to maintain your smile and oral health. Dentures are a common and effective solution for replacing missing teeth, whether you’ve lost one tooth, several, or even all of them. They help restore your ability to eat, speak, and smile confidently, while also preventing the remaining teeth from shifting out of place.
The best way to maintain a healthy smile is to be proactive!

What are Dentures?
We’re putting your comfort first
When you’re missing a tooth, the look and function of your teeth change, making everyday tasks like chewing and speaking more difficult. A denture is a custom-made restorative dentistry fixture that replaces missing teeth, helping to restore both the appearance and function of your smile. Dentures are designed to fit snugly over your gums and can be used to replace just a few teeth (partial dentures) or an entire set (full dentures).
Dentures not only improve your ability to eat and speak but also help maintain the structure of your face by providing support where teeth are missing. With proper care and a good oral health routine, dentures can be a durable and effective solution for tooth loss that look and feel just like real teeth.

The Dentures Procedure
Depending on the condition of your teeth, there may be a few steps involved in getting dentures. At ieDental, we begin with a thorough examination to assess your oral health and determine the best approach for your dentures.
If extractions are needed, those will be done first, and we’ll allow time for your gums to heal before fitting your dentures. Once your mouth is ready, we’ll take detailed impressions of your gums and any remaining teeth to ensure your dentures are custom-made for a perfect fit.
If you opt to have implants placed for implant-supported dentures, we’ll coordinate the placement of the implants first. After the implants have fully integrated with your jawbone, your dentures will be attached securely to them, providing added stability and comfort.
Once your dentures are crafted in the lab, you’ll come in for a fitting. We’ll make any necessary adjustments to make sure they’re comfortable and functional.
